Treatment-oriented functional psychiatric assessment

A wide range of psychiatric presentations. A flexible assessment framework.

Continuum assesses patients across the breadth of adult psychiatric practice—including addictions—and connects the clinical picture to treatment, function and work.

Psychiatric presentations we assess

The clinical scope is intentionally broad.

These categories make the range visible; they are not separate programs or an exhaustive list. Patients may present with one condition, several overlapping conditions or diagnostic uncertainty.

01

Trauma-related conditions & PTSD

Trauma symptoms, post-traumatic stress and related functional effects.

02

Mood disorders

Depressive and other mood presentations affecting recovery and work.

03

Bipolar & related disorders

Assessment of symptoms, course, treatment and functional implications.

04

Anxiety disorders

05

Personality disorders

Personality-related symptoms, patterns and their clinical and functional implications.

06 Explicitly included

Addictions & substance use

Substance-related concerns, addictions and co-occurring psychiatric conditions.

07

Other psychiatric presentations

Other conditions and comorbid presentations relevant to treatment, function and recovery.

All presentations are assessed within the same clinically led, treatment-oriented functional framework.

Across disability and work contexts

The referral category does not narrow the clinical scope.

A person may be early in a leave, away from work longer term, preparing to return or still working. The assessment is shaped around the clinical picture and the patient’s functional circumstances—not around a pre-set stream.

For insurers, employers and referral partners Continuum can assess psychiatric presentations across these categories and other work- or disability-related contexts.
